Seabiscuit

There's been a lot of interest in the media lately about a racehorse named Seabiscuit.  Back in the 1930's Seabiscuit was the hottest thing around-think one of today's top athletes or performers and double their popularity.  He won a lot of races and was pretty much forgotten until a book came out a year or two ago, and now there's a movie about him.

But Seabiscuit almost didn't have his chance.  He was undersized for a racehorse, had been mistreated, and was almost put down more than once. But because of the devotion of people who believed in him he had a chance and he became a champion.  They saw that potential for success inside him and worked to bring it out.

I want you to remember 2 things from Seabiscuit's story.

First: even though sometimes you'll feel like a looser, you're not.  There are people who believe in you, who know that you have success somewhere inside of you, and who want to help you.

Second: when you see someone who seems to be a looser, remember that they have success inside of them too.  It might be buried deeply and hard to see but it's there. Believe in them and help them bring it to the surface.
